John R. Shue, PE

FirstLight Power, President

John has over 25 years of power generation experience with combined cycle, oil, gas, coal, bio-mass, solar, wind, hydro and pumped storage. He is a proven leader and has a successful track record of P&L management, asset optimization, conceptualizing and implementing solutions, integration of new companies, building consensus in organizations and leading diverse groups to achieve team goals.

John is a graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.

Sidd Manjeshwar

Chief Financial Officer

Sidd Manjeshwar serves as Chief Financial Officer of FirstLight Power Resources, Inc. and is responsible for the company’s strategic and financial affairs, including finance and accounting, insurance, investor relations, procurement, IT, risk, treasury, tax, banking and credit agency relationships, and strategic development. He has been with FirstLight Power Resources, Inc., since June 2018 and has over 20 years of energy, finance and private equity experience.

Prior to joining FirstLight Power Resources, Inc., Mr Manjeshwar served as Vice President, Corporate Finance & M&A and Treasurer at Dynegy Inc. from October 2012 until Dynegy’s merger with Vistra Energy Corp. in April 2018., as Director in the Global Natural Resources Group at Deutsche Bank and as Vice President in the Global Power Groups at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers in their investment banking divisions, where he had lead responsibility for all aspects of mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and restructurings for global integrated energy, power and infrastructure companies. Mr. Manjeshwar also held various key roles at Halyard Capital, a middle market private equity firm, Sprint Inc., Trigyn Technologies and Royal Philips N.V.

Mr. Manjeshwar earned his Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mumbai, Master of Science in Computer Science from James Madison University and M.B.A from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Over his career Mr. Manjeshwar has been in leadership teams that have won the prestigious International Financing Review’s “North American High-Yield Bond Award”, Platts Global Energy Awards’“Award of Excellence” and “Strategic Deal of the Year”, Houston Chronicle’s “Top Workplaces” and Houston Business Journal’s “CFO of the Year Award”.

Marc Silver

Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Marc has practiced law for 30 years, working exclusively in the energy industry for the past 12 years as General Counsel for generation and liquefied natural gas assets in New England for ENGIE North America. Previously, Marc was Associate General Counsel at Cabot Corporation, a specialty chemical company, and was a Partner at Holland & Knight LLP where he chaired the Environmental Practice Group. At FirstLight, Marc is responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the company, including management of litigation, contracting, serving as corporate secretary, and providing legal support for the Commercial and Operations functions of the company. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Wesleyan University

Peter Rider

Vice President, Commercial Operations

Mr. Rider is Vice President of Commercial Operations at FirstLight, responsible for commercial strategy, analytics, origination, the power desk and financial trading.Prior to joining FirstLight, Mr Rider was the Director of Operations and Optimization for Engie North America, a competitive power generation company, where his accountabilities included optimizing the dispatch and value of Engie’s North American power generation fleet, managing the commodity (power, gas, and oil), and emissions requirements for Engie’s operating assets.Prior to joining Engie, Mr Rider worked in investment banking holding management positions with Bank of New York and Deutsche Bank Securities. Peter has over 15 years of commercial experience in both the energy and financial markets. Peter received a B.A. in Marketing and Management from Fairfield University.

Justin Trudell

Vice President, Operations

Justin is a proven energy industry executive with close to 15 years of operations, project management, and control room experience, including five years as an officer in the US Navy. He has worked in hydro, wind, solar, and nuclear power. At FirstLight, Justin oversees the day to day operations of the 1.4GW portfolio of pumped storage, conventional hydro, and solar facilities. In this capacity, he oversees a team of 100 energy professionals who safely operate, optimize, and maintain the fleet. Justin received his BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy and is currently completing his MBA at the University of New Hampshire.

Tom Kaslow

Vice President, Market Design & Policy

Tom has over 25 years of industry experience in both regulated and competitive power companies. Tom served a lead role in the restructuring of the New England Power Pool (NEPOOL) arrangements into a competitive wholesale market, including serving as NEPOOL expert witness at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and continues to lead initiatives within NEPOOL. Tom has previously served as Chairman of the NEPOOL Participants Committee, Chairman of the Board of the New England Power Generators Association, Vice Chair of the NEPOOL Markets Committee and currently serves as the Generation Sector Vice-Chair of the NEPOOL Participants Committee. Tom holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Carrie Nelson

Director, Human Resources

Carrie has over 20 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, and compensation management. She has consulted for an American oil subsidiary in London and later worked for a compressed natural gas provider. She also directed all human resource and payroll functions for a Berkshire Hathaway insurance company in Boston. At FirstLight, Carrie is responsible for overseeing recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, and employee relations. Carrie has a B.A. in Business and Psychology, an M.S. in Organizational Development, and a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She is a published author and a proud Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Len Greene

Director, Government & Regulatory Affairs

Len has spent more than 12 years working in various capacities in politics and state government, most notably as the State Representative for the 105th District in the Connecticut General Assembly and more recently as Deputy First Selectman for the Town of Seymour, CT. Len is responsible for the development and implementation of FirstLight’s government affairs strategic plan, community relations, stakeholder engagement, and media communications.Len graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Political Science and History and earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Norwich University in 2010.
