Riverboat

Welcome Aboard Northfield Mountain's Riverboat!
The Quinnetukut II, Northfield Mountain’s 60-seat riverboat, has been cruising the Connecticut River for nearly a quarter of a century. The "QII" makes 12-mile round trips through the enchanting French King Gorge, and on to historic Barton Cove—home to nesting bald eagles and the site of a former dinosaur track quarry. An on-board interpreter narrates each cruise, offering information on the culture, habitats, and natural history of this spectacular stretch of river. The Quinnetukut operates Friday through Sunday from June 27th to October 19th, with cruises each day at 11:00 am, 1:15 pm, and 3:00 pm. In addition, it will operate on Columbus Day, Monday, October 13th. We also offer special entertainment cruises, family cruises, and charters. These events, plus weather conditions may cause the daily schedule to vary on specific days, so always call ahead for reservations at: (800) 859-2960.

Fees For Public Cruises
Adults: $12
Seniors: $10
Children (14 years and under): $6
Group (15 or more): $9

Charter the Quinnetukut II. If you are looking for a unique group outing, family event, retreat, or wedding, consider chartering the Quinnetukut II. Our 60-seat boat can be rented for as little as $375 for a 1-1/2 hour daytime cruise. Evening cruises are $475, and cruises of longer lengths can be scheduled. You can hire a caterer for your cruise or rent our adjacent 70-seat pavilion for the day and have a barbecue picnic. You can also make arrangements for your caterer to have dinner ready for you when you land. Call the Center for reservations and a brochure: (800) 859-2960.

School environmental programs are offered aboard the Quinnetukut II during September and October. These programs provide an excellent first-hand look at river habitats, wildlife, and geology. Call the Center for reservations, scheduling information, or to get on our school E-news list: (800) 859-2960.
